How Texas crash reports work
- Officers have up to 10 days to file the official CR-3 report; most appear in TxDOT's CRIS system within 7-10 days of the crash.
- The old "Blue Form" (CR-2) is discontinued — the CR-3 police report is the only official record.
- Reports cost $6 (uncertified) or $8 (certified) at the official TxDOT CRIS portal.
